Ways to earn

Runner pay, explained

For every order, you’ll always receive base pay and a customer tip. Promos are available to Runners who qualify in select areas, as shown in the Runner app.
  • Base pay
    Base pay ranges from $2–$14+ based on factors like time, distance, and effort.
  • Customer tips
    Runners keep 100% of the customer’s tip, and Favor requires a minimum tip for all orders.*
  • Promos
    Promos can increase your earnings when you complete deliveries in specific neighborhoods or during a specific time period. You can find active promos in your area in the Runner app.
*Favor requires a minimum tip on all orders placed through the Favor app. Tips from third parties may vary.
Shop, deliver, earn
  • Streamlined shopping
    The app shows item locations, store maps, customer substitutions, and more to help make shopping more efficient.
  • Real-time tips and tricks
    Get guidance while you shop that can help you select the best items and provide excellent customer service.
  • Community support
    Help your neighbors get the H‑E‑B essentials they need, including last-minute ingredients, medicine on a sick day, or a fresh bouquet.
  • Easy checkout experience
    Just follow the in-app prompts, show your QR code or use tap to pay with your Runner card, and hit the road. It's that simple!
